Please bear with me, I have a lot of info and not a lot of time to spend making this ad. Here is a link to my Facebook ad, I will be adding more pictures and info here over the next few days.

1967 Plymouth Barracuda · Commando

Original miles, barn find. Originally from Montana and moved to Sebastopol CA in the late 90’s and sat in a barn until last year. I bought it from the original owners nephew.True E Code Commando car, originally a 273 Commando V8 and 904 transmission(not included) now has:

Mopar Performance 402 crate motor, rebuilt to 408 cubes with .030 forged pistons. 10.5:1 and runs on California pump gas. Magnum based roller cam motor with the big valve R/T heads.800 cfm AVS2 with the manual choke removed(have the parts bagged if you want to go back.)Chrysler distributor with HEI mod and custom curve from Halifax hops. Motor has less than 50 miles on it, still has break in oil.

New cold case radiator, the fan shroud in a modified 6 cyl shroud from a 67 that I made work with the cold case non-stock mounting position. It has some gaps at the top and bottom but works fantastic. Mopar Performance viscous fan with Hayden 2947 clutch.

TCI Streetfighter 904 transmission with a PTC 3200 stall converter, and deep aluminum pan with baffles. Correct $$$ sfi approved flex plate.High quality external cooler with new metal cooler lines and braided an hoses. New with less than 50 miles on it. Hurst promatic II shifter fitted under stock console.

New Driveshaft with billet 1350 yokes at both ends, driveshaft shop said it’s good for 500HP.

11.75” disc brakes from Dr Diff

Hellwig front sway bar

Firm Feel street/strip torsion bars

PST 20:1 manual steering box with MP adapter.

Boxed and rebuilt lower control arms with Bergman Autocraft plates and new forged pins and Delrin bushings. New upper control arms, ball joints, tie rods with PST solid tie rod sleeves. New pitman arm and 67 specific idler arm.

New super stock springs with poly bushings, and competition engineering drag shocks in all 4 corners.

New 15x8 wheel vintiques steelies in the back with new 255/60r15 cooper cobras. The front wheels are NOS KH 15x6.5” with new tires on them. 66 barracuda dog dish caps. Front wheels and rear both have 3” studs installed.

Hotchkiss adjustable strut rods

All new brake lines, lightweight aluminum master cylinder and emergency brake system restored.

Rebuilt and restored 8.75 rear end with 3.91 sure grip and new big bolt pattern axles. The rear end was shortened .80” on each side and uses a Dr Diff offset hanger kit for TONS of room for more tire. New 10x2.5” drums and all new shoes/hardware.

Custom hybrid exhaust with Doug’s headers, pypes 3” x-pipe and 2.5” tail pipes with original 68/69 exhaust tips modified to fit the 2.5” tailpipes. This makes for a quiet exhaust that doesn’t give up on power.

Added FM radio from a later model Dart.

Added new reproduction tach

All running lights replaced/fixed/restored.

Headlight relay harness, battery cables and alternator wire around from crackedback. Ammeter is not only bypassed, but has been converted to a voltmeter using the stock ammeter face.

The bad:

Currently the windshield is removed, I have a new windshield, new good gasket, and 68+ stainless trim and clips that need to be installed that will be included. The major plus is that the entire window channel is rust free and still has shiny blue paint!

The carpet has been removed and I have new carpet that needs to go in. Only the drivers seat is installed right now, but I can put the rest of the seats back in before the sale.

After putting a BUNCH of work into restoring the rally dash, and converting it to an electronic IVR, I realized the gauges might need to be replaced. The fuel/temp and oil gauge don’t work.

The ugly:

The car started life as a Montana car, and the trunk seal was not doing its job. I didn’t clean it, or sugarcoat it in anyway. The worst of the rust is in the trunk, and the extensions took the brunt of the rust. The lower 1/4’s need help, with the drivers side being the worst.

The rockers and frame rails are SOLID, in fact most of the metal is. The floor is solid except a small patch needed under the drivers feet.

I have a new AMD trunk floor pan in the crate, a Sherman drivers floor pan and new trunk seal that is included. You will need to buy the extensions to fix the trunk.

Lots of questions about trades, so I thought I would clarify.

I am only interested in a partial trade plus cash. I am open to Mopars that seat six, and crew cab trucks. Got a really nice 4 door or wagon?

What's the story on the windshield? Why isn't it installed
