hi guys. got a question 4 yas. i have a 69 barracuda and none of the factory gauges work on the dash. only the amp gauge. my 67 also had the same probem. we changed the fuel gauge and that worked for about 6 months. any ideas guys. thanks buster, from long island ny

ok tkz. is that regulator replaceable or is it a part of the fuel gauge
Yes. It's part of the fuel gauge and it's replaceable. There's a lot of info in threads on the forum. Use the search function and you'll find what you need.

I agree with all above. The IVR (instrument voltage regulator) is inside the gas gauge. Power goes into that, it is dropped down to about 5 volts, and then that power goes out to the oil pressure, gas and temp gauges. You can add a voltage regulator, but I would look into having the gas gauge rebuilt (to include a new IVR). That is what I did about 20 years ago. I will look to see if I can find who did it. They put a new IVR in the gas gauge, and it has worked fine for 20 years. That way you only have to R & R the gas gauge.

You're welcome. To save you some search time, go to the magnifying glass in the upper right corner. In the drop-down menu search for "limiter" by "RedFish." RedFish is a mostly retired member here who shared a lot of knowledge. Read what he's written, and you'll have a good start. Then come back and and ask specific questions if you have any.

Well said Todd, I was lucky enough to buy one of Ben's @RedFish IVR and installed in my dash before he stopped making them.

I remembered where I sent my gas gauge for repair. It was D&M.

Redfish was run off of here by a nasty comment by the gigantic big red print. Now, Redfish is gone. We believe he died. He was going through some rough times.
