Hey y'all. Kinda new here kinda not. I used to be active on here like 10 years ago. Well my cuda is finally getting close to getting on the road. It's a 68 notchback 318 auto car. My dad and I are tackling the interior now and headliner is first in the list. I don't remember much what it was like in 2009 when we got the car or if the headliner was already gone. I've ordered a set of sail panels and I'm not quite sure how they install on the car. From what I've been able to dig up so far they just mount behind the headliner material as it comes down the sail panel but how do they fasten to the car? I've also ordered small clips that I believe go on the sides near the door openings that hold the headliner to the pinch weld is this correct? If somebody has a write-up about installing a headliner in a notchback that would be amazing. Thank you in advance

They look like spring clips that hold the door panel without the bent end.

Also remember the two wires that hold the rear bow back when stretching the liner front . This places the bows in the correct location.

Cover the rear seat anchors. Hubcaps and a blanket works yo save your knees. You'll poke holes through bow sleeves for the bows and anchor wires. You'll need to angle those wires left and right a little when placing because you'll be stretching the liner those directions. Good luck

My 67 notch had no fasteners at those diamond shape boards. Only a scribble of yellow adhesive held them.
