Battery to starter relay...what gauge wire?

Hi all,

I am replacing the starter relay to battery cable, and it looks to be a 10 gauge wire. Is this a good size or overkill?

It goes to the battery, and worked fine, I just want one long cable rather than the spliced up version thats on there now (butt connector, etc)

It may be overkill but better to be over than under.
