battery treatment

I read on here one time about a battery addative that restored and extended battery life. Anyone recall what that was?

It used to be called VX-6 and was sold though JC Whitney. I have a bottle and have treated a battery or two. It hasn't worked so far.

Thanks Toolmanmike. I think it was RRR that swore by it or something else. Seems like these things never work like they say they will. I have a battery that 10 years old and still good so far. Just wanted to help it out.

Dont laugh, I know a coupe of guys that did that as a joke in a battery that they said was sick , back yrs ago, it worked !!

Aspirin will only work on a sulfated battery. A shorted cell it won't fix.

10 years is good. my 2004 original mopar battery lasted 10. an autozone 9- 7. I hear the average with newer cars is 5
