Has anyone used the CVF serpentine setup with Classic auto air and Bergman PS conversion in a pre 70 big block dart?
I want the “easiest” drop in systems I can find for the 400. The CVF looks to be pretty clean and a one stop shop for all of the brackets I may need?

I have mopar Power steering in my purple car with a 340, it works good but the PS box is huge and not a lot of space with headers.

The CAA kit seems to be the easiest direct fit for ac in a non ac car.

So do these work together or will I need to beat my head against a wall for years to get everything?

Pictures of current brackets, PS reservoir, and PS pump. I am not sure but I think these are all stock parts.

Thanks!

I can't answer about the A body, but I just installed the CVF Racing serpentine setup w/Air Conditioning & PS on my 72 Challenger/440. I opted to go with their 1 wire alternator as well. If you go with their kit, be sure to specify if you want the racing water pump pulley (bigger diameter) or the high flow for the street. I went high flow on mine. I also use a mechanical fan with a shroud. Works great and resolved the belt misalignment issue I was having and my PS belt being thrown off.

Was install relatively painless and everything went together pretty well?

Can’t comment on big block but I went with their 8 rib power steer and alternator kit on my small block.
Installation, alignment, finish and performance all first class!
Couldn’t recommend CVF more highly.

In a word, yes. The CVFRacing kit comes with a pulley for the alternator which I did not use because I got their 1 wire unit that already had the 8 rib pulley. If you go electric fan I highly recommend you go that route. The output at idle is far superior to the OE style, and is needed to handle the load of the fans. The PS pump was a bit more of a challenge. The nipple on the pump for the return line was very close to the edge of the cylinder head. When I put the hose on it it was right there. I am running Trickflow 240 heads and they apparently have more meat on the edges than the OE heads do. I was on the highway and had the high pressure hose blow out which ruined the pump. I bought another pump from CVFRacing that has the return nipple located further away from the head. So you can remove some material from the edge of the head if needed or get a different pump with a relocated nipple.

The kit was well thought out in my opinion, and the instructions were very adequate. I took off the radiator/shroud to get easy access to the front of the engine. The whole process took me a day and a half. Though it was kinda expensive, I have absolutely no regrets about going this direction. The couple of times I contacted CVFRacing support with questions they were very quick to respond. In fact, that is why I purchased from them.

I have them on on small block dart, and on my big block challenger. Their kits fit and work.

Thanks! I think will be purchasing it all and calling it a day.

@Ricks70Duster340 im not sure if I’ll do an electric fan. I know I’ll be getting a cold case radiator as I have one on my purple dart with a 340 and the radiator works flawlessly, maybe I’ll add their electric fan kit with the radiator.

I had an electric fan on my 440 Challenger and it did not cool as well as the mechanical fan/shroud I replaced it with. Not all electric fan setups are created equal!

Oh ok, I thought you said you recommended the electric fan route. I have a mechanical on my 340 and I drive the piss out of it and it only gets hotter temps, 210ish, when sitting at the light for to long after a longer drive.

You will still need a shroud, even with an electric fan..
