Bbd-4417s vent leak?

On my two barrel if it sits for a while,,I pump two or three time and crank. IF-it doesn’t light it seems fuel comes out the vent tube and onto the manifold. I know the car sat for a year before I bought it and otherwise runs fine. Replace the accelerator pump?

By your description, the float could've stuck, not uncommon.
Give the float bowl a sharp "tap" with not too heavy an object, and try again.
If fuel continues to flow outta the vent, you may have to take it apart.

Is there a seal/gasket for the vent that would prevent this or not ...so then it’s needle/float related?

The fuel should never get high enuff to get to the vent.
So yes, likely needle seat, sunk/sodden float issue.
