After disassembling my BBS to check float height, it seems like the acceleration pump plunger is sticking up higher than it was before. The clip on the plunger is in the middle notch on plunger, and the linking arm
(pump operating rod) going from the plunger lift lever to the throttle is in the middle hole of the throttle lever, as per the manual. Clearly the plunger used to sit lower in the bowl, based on where I see the varnish accumulated on the plunger arm.
It is possible I had pump operating rod in a different hole prior to disassembly...I had low speed stumbling when accelerating from start.
My question: do you agree the pump plunger is now too high, or was the lower position more in line with what you have seen?
If it is too high, given the proper middle hole position and middle clip position, what have I done wrong?
Thanks
