bellhousing 2468370

cleaning out my parts building and found a bellhousing and 3 speed trans for a big block my buddy who passed away gave me many years ago..the bellhousing is 2468370..65 model B&C or 67 and up a body...the trans is a 3 speed for a 75-78 truck..he machined the bellhousing for the big 4.807 bearing retainer and redrilled it to fit this 3 speed..brewer make rings to go back to the small bearing retainer...did he ruin this bellhousing?

That's kind of boogered up. It could be repaired but at what cost? (to have it done right.
