68 barracuda fastback I would like a disc conversion with 5 on 4 bolt pattern but I have to see if the wheels I have will work , I have an orginal set of torq thrust 14 in and don.t want power

This is what you need. (Link below) They don’t come up often, and this set has the important stuff, the knuckles (that’s for @kerndog :) ) aka spindles by a lot of folk, the dust shields, and the proper brackets for the hoses and the proper bolts for the calipers and ball joint to knuckle etc….

You will still want to re-build the calipers (or buy rebuilt from rock auto - don’t hand cores back in, keep those) and new rotors etc both of which are available.

Jump on this. Trust me on the bolts, dust shields, and brackets. Hard too find!

These will 99% guarantee to fit your wheels

i'll echo what the others have said upthread. with those wheels specifically, i'd be looking for some original KH 4 pots.

the only other option that i can think of is SSBC, but you'd need to *carefully* measure your rims and match that up to their diagram that has the tech specs, and even then i'd be suspect until i actually had them in hand and verified that the stuff fit.

I used SSBC on my '71 Dart GT. I have a factory installed 741 case, a-body, 3.55:1, sure-grip 8 3/4" rear end.

FYI the factory 14" X 5 1/2" Rallye wheels fit my car with no issues. However, the factory 14" X 5 1/2" STEEL wheels did NOT fit my car. I may have been able to do some creative grinding, but chose to keep my Rallye wheels.

Pirate Jack has a small bolt pattern conversion kit, but it has the much better 73-76 floating caliper setup.

First, you can get this same kit from DoctorDiff with better parts and better customer support.

Second, it will not work with MANY of the SBP wheels out there, especially original drum wheels. Like the usual 73+ brake conversion used to go BBP, the '73+ disks widen the track width and have a significantly larger hub register. These kits usually turn down the hub register compared to a normal 73+ rotor, but it remains larger than the hub registers for original drum wheels and others.

So, if the intent is to keep your factory SBP wheels the 73+ based kits are not usually a good option. From a braking standpoint they're a great conversion, but with regard to keeping the 5x4" bolt pattern there's more to consider. There are also aftermarket brake kits that have both patterns, but again pay close attention to track width and hub diameter, because like the 73+ based conversion kits most of those aftermarket kits will also not allow for use of all the factory SBP wheels.
