Best stock oil pan for400 stroker to500 BB in a 70 Dart ??

-

I just did a 400 swap in a 1973 Swinger, and I had the best luck with the Milodon Low Profile Center pan. I still have a small issue with the drag link grazing the pan on the passenger side, but it isn't severe. It can be fixed by either lowering the drag link or readjusting the motor position. I also might be moving towards rack and pinion, which would completely eliminate that clearance issue. I went with the external pump pan, but both look to be identical in size. Here's a link to their page: Milodon Chrysler Oil Pans

Mancini racing has a 6 qt. Hemi pan that fits a body's. It looks like a OEM high capacity pan. 440 source has a similar pan and offers oil pickup tubes for stroker. A company makes repo big block a body pans less than 6 quarts more capacity than 187 pan. Not sure if Million has hi capacity stock style pan that fits a body? Do not see the clearance for steering.
I too would be curious to which pan is the best I have not had any of them in my hands other than a 187 pan. I would have bought the Mancini pan but I need the 1/2 inch oil pickup and it has been out of stock forever.

I'm putting 9 quarts on my 470.
Definitely not looking for anything stock. If you're planning on racing at all I'd wouldn't go less than 7

Yes, you're right. After thinking about it i wouldnt want to blow a 10k engine
because i cheaped out on a pan.
Milodon pans are a bit spendy but it's an insurance policy for 1 time fee. I was just thinking how pricey my oil changes will be, almost makes me wanna spring for a solid roller cam Set up so I won't need the extra expensive too zinc added oils
