To a point, I agree. There are better factory parts that will fit a '64 model however and on a rebuild, I would go aftermarket urethane on the bushings. Now if you want to add braking and steering to the equation, use the C-body tie rods and ends, put disc brakes on it, and add a sway bar. I'll leave the choice of SBP or LPB and bar diameter to you as that will depend on what wheels you want, performance you need, and finances. On a race car you'll need to give a whole bunch more info.....
 
I have added tubular A arms from just suspensions to my 63 dart, my 72 cuda and my brothers 74 challenger. these are driver cars but it is the best addition to any project. really better than horse power better than cool paint. just makes the cars drive really nice
