Hello All,
I'm trying to tighten up the suspension on my Valiant.
It has the original 880/889 (622/623) .83 torsion bars installed.
I want the car to ride firmer but not like a truck or performance suspension.
I was thinking about installing the 1.03 bars, but from what I understand it may make the suspension too stiff.
What would be the best choice to firm up the ride?
The 892/893 .87 Torsion bars?
Thanks

I recently went with 1.03 bars and I am really happy with how it rides. Not harsh at all, but definitely firm.

I have a pair of .87 bars in *decent* condition if you want them, those are the standard v8 bars.

The 1.03’s will be fine as long as you’re willing to buy a decent set of shocks too. Just don’t run KYB’s.

I ran 1” bars on my Duster for awhile and they were still plenty soft.

I have a (4) new KYB gas adjust shocks going on the car and will be installing an Adco sway bar kit too.
