Do you use a hole saw to cut out the knockouts? Or a socket? I don't know how brittle they are. They are the typical cast M/T black wrinkle valve covers. Any suggestions? Thx, Kevin

I use a hole saw. Seen people use a socket but also seen some where they knocked part of the valve cover out too.

i drilled mine out to about 1/2" and then i used a rotating file for the rest

Get a step drill or uni-bit as they are called. I have all kinds of sizes and find them easier to keep track of instead of having a bunch of hole saws and arbors and such layin around. don't spend the $$$ for a good one, just get the 3 pack assorted diameter one from HD or Lo's for ~$20
