big block 906 head needed

that I can borrow to prove a point to a machinist that is fairly
close to Syracuse Indiana zip code 46567

First I'll admit I'm not a rocket scientist on this matter but something isn't right in Nashville

69 - 383 HP very mild upgrade on cam - new lifters and stock style rockers - shafts
stock 8.55 pushrods nothing done to bottom end all timing dead on motor ran good 906 heads - had heads reworked - milled and they put oversized valves (intake 2.11 with .387 stems exhaust 1.770 with .3865 stems) clayed valve to piston .044 gasket and intake valves hit the pistons badly friend had a set of untouched 516 heads put one on with same set up had around .275 clearance put 906 head back on used pushrod checker at 8.45 long had .150 clearance with .030 preload he's saying it's the difference between the 516 and 906 head I told him he's crazy all Mopar big block heads are basically the same in heights - basic construction something drastically wrong someplace so I'm looking for the 906 to see if I'm correct
