Yes, this thread again - I did read through every thread I could find.

I have a 67 Bcuda original 383 car with a 69 a-body BB radiator.
I bought the Hayden 2947 fan clutch and an 18" 6 blade fan.

Not looking for a numbers matching fan shroud, just something that will bolt on.
I have no idea how it should even bolt on as there is nothing there.

So, according to the 'book' the original 67 shroud is 2785312, 22 inch, same as 67 273 with a/c. The 69 I'm thinking its 2785614.

www.rosevillemoparts.com lists a shroud and mounting kit for a 68-69 A-body. Brewers has the same shroud listed for a 67-69 A-body but no mounting kit.

Can I use the 68-69 shroud and mounting kit with the 18" clutch fan and 69 radiator?

I actually ordered it and they cancelled it stating it will not fit the 67.

To my knowledge, the 312 shroud is a one yr only piece. They are made for a smaller fan for one. I'm not sure about other differences. I know I barely fit a 17.75" diameter fan with mine. Thankfully, I've got solid motor mounts. I'd go ahead and use the 614 shroud for what you're doing. They bolt on to the same 22" radiator.

The 614 shroud bolts right in my 67 w/273. Mounting kit is just hardware. No brackets req'd.
I remember reading somewhere that the big block fan center was a little different from LA. Don't know if that's true or not. That big block owner installed the slant 6 shroud upside down long before the aftermarket offered the "melting" shrouds. I know the center offset of the slant 6 fan and that shroud ( 049 or 094 I forget ) is almost exactly opposite the LA so I assume its all true. In the end, I agree the 614 will be your best shot ( hoping it doesn't melt ).

The 68/69 radiators have different part numbers, but appear to be identical, hose inlet/outlet location, etc.
Compared to the 68/69 the upper hose on the 67 is roughly 1.75" to the left, other than that identical except for the overflow hose tab which is in the same location just flipped.
The 67 cars don't have a fan diameter listed, but the only fan smaller than 18" are for a small number of 6 cylinder cars.

Since the upper hose doesn't appear to interfere with the shroud, I don't see why the reproduction one would not fit a 67 radiator.

With a 22" radiator and an 18" fan I'm not sure a shroud is going to have a big impact anyway. Especially since I'm going from a flex fan to the 18" clutch fan, and the car didn't already have any overheating issues.

Along with the prospect of melting a $170 shroud to my fan/radiator, I think I'll pass for now - but I learned a few things.
