My 69 Dart GT now has a 400 stroked to 470, 26" ECP radiator. The problem Im having is with setting up a clutch fan. This all started when I figured out that my 4 row brass/copper 22x19 with shroud and fixed fan did not have enough cooling at idle. So I got a FlowKooler pump and Milodon high flow 180 thermostat, which help some but still not enough as I'm going to have ac. I also have the Holley Terminator set up, so air fuel ratio isn't a concern nor is the timing.
I tried the Hayden 2947 clutch which is the smallest they make but I need more room. So I got the Volvo 2 speed fan and it's too thick to fit anywhere as it will hit the water pump pulley. I have 2.750 between the core and water pump pulley, so does anyone have any thoughts as to what I can do? I really don't want the fixed fan running all the time, if it comes down to it, so be it.
