I have a big block K Frame that is in need of some attention. I am contemplating taking the engine mounts off and putting them on my small block V8 K Frame is this possible has anyone done it?

Very possible.

IMHO.

I would build a metal jig that attached to all 4 of the k frame mount holes and then attaches to the motor mount flats and misc holes.

Sacrifice metal on the old k member when you cut the mounts loose, then move the entire apparatus to the new k frame and start removing bits here and there till it sits on the 4 mounts and then weld it all in

Thank you that makes sense to hold it perfectly square so that when you put the motor mounts back on everything’s in the same place and heat doesn’t move anything.

Are k-frames ever straight and/or square?
Seriously, from the get go, are the 4 holes evenly spaced?
How were they welded up at the factory, on a jig I assume, or did Johnny on the spot weld 'em up?

I imagine they can get tweaked over time.

I started to make a big block spool mount 73 up k frame. While checking things it did not bolt under my car. The k member was bent from wreck?
I ended up cutting the spool mounts off and putting them on my original to car 68 k frame.

Just a question...

My biscuit mount small block k member with the Schumacher mounts works/installed perfectly with my 440/A833 install, why not just do that?

Hacking a good small block K (I assume its good) and modifying an actual bib block k sounds like lowering value of both...
