I'm trying to determine which K member is in my car. I've spent all morning looking at various pictures and am still confused. I'm looking to possibly install the QA1 K member and am trying to identify what motor mounts I would need.

It's in a 72 Duster that was originally a 318, but it currently has a 440 with a spool style mount, so I know it's at least a 73+ K member. It's currently using what appear to be factory B or C body engine mounts, P/N 3817116 and 3817117 as well and my steering is for a 72 as well, center link, pitman and idler.

Does the fact that it using factory big block mounts, mean that it's a big block K member? Was there an A body spool style big block K member? I see there is also a DC version too?

Here's a couple pics, sorry the drivers side ones aren't very good, it's the best I can do with it in the car.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

looks like you have a 73+ spool mount K member and its had the mods done to make it like the old direct connection big block K member

Last pic indicates to me that it is an original Direct Connection k-member.

So, if I were to install the QA1 K member, the mounts are located the same as a normal SB v8 K, I would be able to just use the Transdapt or Mancini Sb to BB conversion mount and they would place the engine exactly where it is now?

What’s the current value of a DC big block K?

I have no idea about the QA1 K-member or even what you are describing about their mounts. Value is anywhere from $200-400, in my opinion, but I would just leave it in place and work on other parts of the car.
