Big Block K-Member

Yes...I'm fully aware of these conversions and is my "second choice" if I can't find a big block K-member for a fair price. Thanks for your feedback!
 
I used an old DC big block K member to install my 383. I don't have to use one of those junk 187 oil pans. A 402 fits in really nice. Its a MUCH better pan.
 
You realize the only real difference between your bb pan and a 189 is baffling right? I can easily cut and shape pieces of metal to form baffles. Far more economical than paying $400 for a smashed bb A pan and paying for an original bb k member. I'll take the 189 pan any day...
 
My understanding is no...they are not the same. 8)
