Biggest Tire In Stock Wheel Well?

-
I have a 69 Dart and I used the offset spring hangers and it moved the springs in about 7/8 inch. Rolled the fender lip and got 265/50-15 on 8 inch wheels with 4-1/2 inch back space but they were REAL close to the fender lip. With the springs moved in I found that I could go with a 15X8 wheel with 5 inches back space and it pretty much centers the tire between the spring and the fender lip with about 3/4 inch on each side. Whatever you do, you don't want the tire to travel up into the fender well very much because on the outer wheelhouse there are notches that protrude into the wheel area and it will rub. You can either keep the rear end high, not a good idea, or cut out the notches so the area of wheel travel is greater (what I did).

ive got a 28/10.5x15 mt slick on a 15x8"wheel in the stock wheel well. it does rub against the leafs so offset hangers are a must. and if you dont want the common 4x4 stance you always see on mopars. your going to have to cut out the factory A shaped wheel well to lower the car. also move back anywhere from 1-2 inches from stock to center the tire in the opening. this tire/wheel combo doesnt look right unless it is centered with that tall of a tire. i know ive been looking staring photo taking just to be sure. heres one i liked, but still not up in the well enough for me, but thats all of a touch more then a stock tub would allow it to be in there

Using the .80 spring relocation kit on my '65 Valiant I got 28x11x15 ET Streets mounted on 15x9 Center Line auto drags under it. I had to roll the inside of the fender lip in on each side and if I filled the trunk slam up with groceries and my son rode in the back seat, the tires would scrub on a hard bump, but very seldom even then. I was running the 002 and 003 SS springs. That was a really quick street car, too.

Used to run an F/S Dart with 9"x 29" M&H's on 15"x 7" wheels with 3 3/4" backspace and stock spring location. Had to hammer up the lip on the wheelwell in the area of the widest part of the sidewall.

I have 255/60R-15 on my 1974 Duster and have quite a bit of room still. not even close to touching anywhere and no rubbing when cornering or when loaded down (the black marks on the inner wheel well are not from these tires). I did not touch the wide factory wheel lips on the quarter panels either.
The wheels are 15 x 8" with a 4.5" backspace American Racing 'Ansen Sprint'.
The tires are Firestone Indy 500. directly from Firestone: Measures 27.1" overall diameter, 10.2" section width, and 8.3" tread width (when measured on a 7.5" wide wheel).

Pretty good looking slant six car, huh?

i have a 68 Dodge Dart that im swapping a 8.75 into and would like to know the biggest tire while not rubbing in stock wheel wells. i have XHD V8 springs on it. i want to run a 29" or 30" by like 10" on a 15x9" rim... possible?

the reason for the height is that im running 3.91's and its a daily driver.

i just finished mini tub and got convo pro 15x10s with 3 and 3/8ths back spacing. tires are mickey thompson et street radials 315/60r15 29.8 od 11.0 width. moved the rear end back 1and 3/4 inchs.still have 3/4 inch on both sides of top of tires.rear end ended up dana 60 /49 inches over all.

275-60-15 BF Goodrich TA's 3" spring relocation. 5/8s clearance inside and out. Didn't have to touch the wheel lip.
