Biuld worth-stock/clone vs protouring $$

-
Since I do all my own bodywork and paint I can usually turn a profit since that is a big chunk out of any restoration budget. Of course that means I make about $2.00/hr instead of my usual side job rate of $30/hr but I enjoy building these old cars. I even paint non-Mopars if they pay me enough!! But I make `em paint it a Mopar color!

hey back in time! i was a writer for Mopar Action one time till they found out i was raised in deep south and have no idea how to spell Yankee! sorry for brain ache!

If it were me I would just build a nice driver with a healthy motor and leave it as sort of a blank canvas for the next buyer who may want to build it to his taste. Then you can concentrate on spending that three grand where it counts. I have 30k in my 65 convertible and it's not done. And I do all my own work too! I'm going pro touring and as you know mopar **** is double every other make. Good luck and pics of the car would give us an idea where you are starting.

I use to buy, build, trade and flip, but I buy and fix everything
not just cars.
Fix what needs fixed, polish the dents and add
some goodies.
Made tons of money over the years doing it.
Its a lot tougher now, and I don't try nearly as hard,
but I still manage to make a little here and there buying and selling.

Your far ahead of the guy trying to rebuild for love, you,
like me will have had 50 nice cars to a dreamers 2 perfect cars.
Sounds like you know what your doing,
you'll be fine whatever you do.
