block casting #'s decoding HELP

Anyone decode my engine block casting number.
The number is 2536480-6
Its a 440, I think maybe a 6 pac
Anyone?

I am sure that is 2536430 ?

Anyway I don't think that they cast the 6 pack blocks any different than a standard 440 block, I could be wrong. So a six pack designation, if there is such a thing would be stamped on the block and not cast into it.

2536430 (no 80) 66-72 440 and no there was no special 440 6 pak block. There was 440 6pak rods and they were heavier than the stock forged rods which required a special crank dampener.

the -6 after the casting number means the number of time the casting box or mold has been modified...
