Blower Motor and Resistor Upgrades?

Motor technology and efficiency has improved a bit since these cars were built and I was wondering if any of you have found newer parts that are fairly easily installed in place of the OEM stuff. Blower resistors are pretty similar across the board on non ATC systems and OEM units are starting to get scarce. It would also be nice to have a more powerful blower that draws less amps!

Sorry, I simply don't know. We USED to have real companies building and supplying real auto parts. Names and brands that have disappeared. People like Dorman have gone to ess ech eye tee.

On mine, if it worked at all was OK, as I don't drive the car when it's in the bitter cold of winter, although I HAVE driven it on nice sunny winter days ?? 25F or so.

Now, I have found an aftermarket "universal" AC/ heater / evap, so it's all new, IF I ever get everything back together. The bad part about THAT is if I was to live long enough to wear that out, you probably could not buy a replacement for it, either!!!
