I've got a set of W-2 heads. I was thinking that I might use them on my blower engine. The problem is that I can't find a blower manifold to fit W-2 heads. So I was thinking that I would send the aluminum W-2 Holley Street Dominator intake to BDS and get them to modify it to accept a 6-71 blower. Any thoughts .........

that could be a solution there is also an company in australia that makes W2blowermanifolds,i think i have seen pics here on FABO of that manifolfd. or if indy may have something? unless you have a very friendly machineshop close to your home that can build a custom manifold :)

You need a common plenum below the blower. The tunnel ram has isolated front/rear runners. The twisted rotors in a Roots "71" series would tend to push the air and fuel to the rear. Resulting in a terrible imbalance. That is a nice setup, there are 'blower spacers' available on ebay and BigAlsToyBox. Unless you got deep pockets and get a Super Chiller fron BDS. Good luck on your build.

MirandaMegaCab let me be the first to welcome you aboard here at abodiesonly.

I have posted another picture of the tunnel ram blower manifold it actually has a very nice common plenum below the blower plate before the air fuel mixture enters the runners.

Thanks for the welcome! I wish I knew about Max Wedge Perf in Austrailia. They cast a 6-71 blower manifold for standard head Mopar small blocks. I tried the tunnel ram blower manifold but it was to tall for my tastes. I see your plenum and can imagine the money that went into that setup!

The set up is pretty tall, about 7-1/2" from the bottom of maifold to the top of blower plate. I'd be interested in knowing how tall some of the shorter manifolds are if anybody has measurements.

I bought a complete unassembled X block stroked motor with all the Blower parts and W2 heads. I originally thought the manifold was a little hokey and home made. However when I took the blower and manifold to get checked out at Littlefield. They actually thought it was a pretty nice unit and probably built by BDS. So I went ahead and had them clean it up and polish it when they were checking out the Blower.

The BDS s.b. Mopar manifolds are hacked up Offenhauser daul quad low rise intakes with the blower plate welded on. Those are around 7in tall. Mike Kuhl superchargers had a sb Mopar blower intake laying on the shelf when they went out of bussiness. I wonder who bought their remaining stock of parts.

Long Island. I got got one of those Mopar Perf reman 360 short blocks. I topped it off with Edelbrock heads. $2500 into the engine, not bad. I had Ray Barton o-ring the heads and cut receiver grooves in the block.

I am looking for a 6-71 intake manifold for a sb with standard heads. I like the Aussie Max Wedge Perf intake as it is a cast, one piece, low profile, design. I would buy a Indy Mod Man intake, but the blower would be set back a little too far for my tastes. Im gonna run a 8-71 reverse offset blower. I want a short snout, Im picky LOL.

will be on 275/60-15dragradials on the street and probably on the track,if i cant make that hook up i will run 10.5x28 ET streets at the track:) but thats further down the timeline need to learn to tune a blown engine first:)
i know of a few twinscrewed motors around here and like you say, they hit hard right at the starting line:headbang:
