O n some of the oridinal bolts off of a small block the head has an anchor stamped on it...does anyone know what this mark means or represents...seems like i only see them up around the intake...tx..j
 
Motor must have originally been out of a C Body. It is a symbol for the land yacht.











Just kidding, in a good mood today. I would say it is the bolt manufacturers logo.

Anchor was the name of the manufacturer that supplied the hardware to Chrysler and GM. A lot of early (pre 84) Corvettes use Anchor bolts in various places.
