I think El Mirage Dry Lake may get it's surface wetted down in the very near future. I haven't checked their racing schedule lately, but June I think they begin their dirty fun.

It’s very good I agree. If you’re interested David Freiburger has a movie about land speed racing that’s a good watch as well. Less movie, more documentary though. It’s called “200 mph club” Search it out.

Too late for BOTH Irwindales I forget what the name was, but there was an oval track just down the 605 freeway from where the Irwindales were. Never got to that one.
