I think it’d be a dead heat with the 360 with the other parts you’ve proposed, and should be within the proposed $500 budget. If you home ported your 452’s with the templates along with that cam, i think it would surprise everyone what it would do. But if you use everything you’ve mentioned including the stock cam, put me in at 13.58.

I’m expecting it to act a little nose heavy and lose some traction off the line with that low end grunt.
If we get a break in the weather, I'll get the truck pan back on the 440. After the 1st of the year, I'll get a hold of the guy with the transmission and see if we can't move forward with the rebuild.
I like that cam! That's the same as one of the old Crane Fireball cams!
It’d be worth doing from the get-go with template head porting and steel shim gaskets. With the cam installed 4 degrees advanced and present gears and converter, it’t certainly be quicker than the 5.9, even with the compression in the basement. The engine is already out anyway…
I’ve forgotten, but what did you say the truck weighs with the magnum engine?
I'd say 3800 staged at the line.... I had it scaled and kept track, but I've made changes since, some adding weight so...

LOL...Food was great!!! Naw, I actually dropped a few pounds myself. Like when I went to the 8.75 vs 8.1/4, adding drive shaft loop, etc. I think the truck would be 3600 by itself

Another nice snowfall last night. From my window, I'd guess 4-5 inches more. Ugggh, gotta go shovel and my wife just told me she's disappointed I didn't put the caterpillar in the video again. Next video... LOL
