Brake light switch adjustment

My brake lights are staying on. They will turn off if I pull the pedal up.

I looked under the dash and the brake pedal is close but does not push the switch when resting.

The manual says to adjust it by removing the nut and sliding the plate closer, but, there is no nut. I can't get to the other side because another metal dash beam is blocking it.

I'm sure you guys have done a ton of these. Any ideas?

I got it working. It was a pain to get my hand there especially with the A/C vents were under the dash!

yea that bolt is tough to get to.. always tear up my hand messing with that thing.
