Brake lights only work when flasher is on

Hey guys 69 dart, I had pulled the column over the winter and before I did the brake lights were working, put it back in and nowcthe brake lights only work when I flip on the flashers. I'm getting power to both sides of brake light switch with the flasher switch off or on. Any ideas?headlights work like they suppose too.. I checked grounds.thanks

Access the connector at the TS switch. Check for brake light power INTO the switch on both sides of that connector. If you have it there and not at the lamps, you have a bad TS switch.

Why did you have the cover off? Paint job or......? Sounds like a contact problem in your
turn sig. sw. or a pushed-out/not tite connection in the column harness conn.. Iirc, the
haz.sw. is in the dash, You said flashers.... turn and hazard or.....?

Thanks for the response I had taken out the dash to paint and he's I mean the hazzard or 4 waylights. I will check those spots.
