Hello everyone I’m currently trying to fix my brake lights on my 1972 Dodge Dart 4 door, just put a better pair of taillight housings cause my original ones were real rusty. They work way better but only problem is my brake lights don’t work had the same problem with the original ones too. The new ones I put on work way better tho , my turn signals flash nice and bright & my hazard lights too but no brake lights what could be the issue? I also put a new brake light switch help please!

Do the signal lamps work properly? Test the signals BOTH with tail lamps on and with tail lamps off. This will help you check a grounding problem

The brake lamps go through the turn signal switch. Access the switch connector at the column, and check for brake power at the proper wire (I believe it is white) by depressing the pedal.

If the signals work, and the brake light switch is feeding power to the column connector, then the column TS switch is bad

WIGGLE the heck out of the hazard switch.....as they are interconnected
