Brake shoe placement

Ok, somebody remind my if the long lining of the brake shoe installs to the front or back. I am getting a little short of memory in my old age.
 
Long shoe to the rear on my 66 vlaliant, pictures are good to take befor removed in my case :hello2: I was about to change out my axle bearing when I took this picture :pirat:

yep. thats where most of the force is being applied to...hence the larger shoe...:)
 
Just think mullet (not the fish) short in the front and long in the back.
 
So I see memike has a problem there with his springs (above). The adjuster cable end should be under both top springs, not as shown in the picture. It also appears the metal piece is missing under the springs unless they didn't use it in 66.
