Brake Trouble

I converted my 67 Barracuda over to a disc brake set up on the front of the car. I got the parts from a Dart Sport about twelve years ago and am having a little trouble. In some books pictures the proportioning valve mounts to the frame and then they show a metering valve, in others there is not a metering valve. Do I need a metering valve or is it in the proportioning valve?

the proportioning from the donor car goes on the frame just about straight down from the master cyl. thats all you need.
