Brand New FTI 8 Inch Racing Converter.

These are built by Paul Lee who is an actual well known real
racer rather than some big holding company. He builds every
single converter to order and does not try to sell you off the shelf
stuff he has in stock

I use his products in many of our NHRA nationally competitive
cars as the quality of the major company has really declined the last number of years.

I put the converter in our Brown 10 Second Street/Strip Duster that
you have probably seen pictures and read about on this site.

However, we went to a 904 before every even starting it up and replaced
the 727. it is absolutely Brand New.

I will include a Used or Brand New B & M Flexplate (Good for 10.00 or slower)
with the converter for free. It will Depending on which engine combo it is = whether
it will be New or used. Most I have new! I have seen these Flexplates for as much as
$195.00.

This Converter was $1,295.00 from Paul and with tax and shipping was $1520.00.

I will sell for $795.00 for both parts (Basically 1/2 Price for a top quality Converter).

Plus $26.00 Shipping

The stall speeds.on these performance converters is
a function of the Horsepower/Weight/Gear Ratio/
Torque of your combination.

The shock stall is also very different that the RPMs that
you can torque it you to against your brakes and also a function
of the Master Cylinder piston diameter and your leg strengths.

My intention was to use it on a 450/500 HP engine. I expected it
to torque up against the brakes to 3500/3700 RPMS.

I have learned my lesson on quoting exact stall speeds = Years ago.

It is a bargain and If I do not sell it = I will use it sooner or later
if I do not become Room Temperature!

MY .02 = For What it is Worth

I do not have that sheet available.

A "rough" estimate of the HP would be 500 based upon
our Superstock/Stock experience. Torque would be similar
and probably a bit more. Paul's stuff is plenty strong again for
a LOT more power than that and naturally as you power goes up
you stall speed goes up sort of proportionally.

Also do not confuse shock stall with what your converter will stall
against the brake (lower) and that adds a lot of different variables.
I am not a converter expert by any means and make not claims to
be one. However, I am an expert on spending a bunch of money buying
different converters for the Stock/SS cars and trying a 1/2 dozen of them.
All that to pick up a hundred or two of precious 60 FT time and ET. There
are probably 20 separate race converters in the shop on the shelf at any given time.

Now, If you put this converter on the trans brake against the 982HP Indy engine
in our bracket Dart this same converter would go 4800 to 5000. It is really a question
of the torque you put thru it.

This is a perfect converter for a Drag Car or a high performance Steet/Strip Weekend car. It would be
overkill for a stock or mild engine combo daily driver! It would be a waste of your money for that
purpose. Our Street/Strip Valiants go to Cruise Nights and shows but are not your mild daily driver
everyday grocery getters. Plus some Midnight High Dollar Street Racing but NOT to tow your boat
to the Lake.

I'm thinking the best plan is to call FTI, give them the Customer (Jon) & stampings, then One's own combo for a TUTD....
