I have a comp solid roller in the scamp it mostly sees the occasional Saturday night street action a few times at the track and a few laps around town each year maybe 5k miles tops how long can I expect my bronze gear to live? Standard volume oil pump

I have at least 6-7K miles on my bronze gear with no wear at all. I drive the car everywhere. Freeway. Stop and go, ready for whatever.

That oil mod looks like the oil galley plug is drilled with an EMD hole. That would be pretty easy to do with the distributor pulled if someone wanted to add it. I wouldn't go more than probably .020 size on it if it are me.

I didn't can you enlighten me a little more on this oil mod?

It's simply a .020-.030 hole in the galley plug which absolutely floods the timing gear with oil 100% of the time. You can remove the plug, drill the hole and reinstall.

I've done similar thing on an AMC 360 but never thought of it for the bronze gear.

hughs has a coated steel gear of some sort that will work w/ a billet cam. I have it in mine, so far so good!
