Bucket seat track interchange

I'd like to swap out the bench seat in my '73 Swinger for buckets & am starting to search for parts. I've read several posts here & there seems to be some conflict on which year tracks will work in my set up. Some folks say 70-74 as long as it wasn't catalytic converter car, and others say that as far back as 68 can be used. My car did not come with the catalytic converter and I've located a set of 68 tracks for a decent price. I'd like to know if someone can definitively answer whether the 68 track matches the geometry of the 73 pan. Thanks much.

pretty much every year has a different part number. I don't know if they are interchangeable, but according to my interchange book just about every year from 67 - 76 has different part numbers.

Plan on using an early 70's era high back bucket. Not dead set on A-body but would prefer to stay as close to original as practical.

Thank you. When you say early I'm assuming you mean 65-67?
