Can't get the motor plates from the PO cause he bought the car from his boss and that guy put them in another car. This Demon has the inner fenders cut away and the engine mounts cut of the k frame. I have a nice SB that I want to put in with a 727 so I have room for a big block when that combo gets boring. I so have another V8 K frame I could put in for the SB in the interim. So the questions are:

Where do I get a motor plate or a design for one? Would like one for the SB and then later one for the BB.

Are all 727 bolt patterns the same between SB and BB? Converter same?

You can do either you can design one or there are a few places to buy. I think Competiton engineering makes one. You could always go with a SB K frame and use schumacher mounts for the BB.

727s are Big and Small block specific. So a BB wont work on SB and vise versa.

If I remember right the tabs for the motor plate are going to be in the same spot for both big & small block.....just use a plate for the small block if so??

The guy had a set for a SB and a set for a BB that both fit the car. So a 727 for a SB is different than the BB. Rats. Guess I'll just put in the 416 SB and a 904 and get a driveshaft to fit. Gonna try for 1.50 60', 7.0 1/8 times with the looser converter and 4.30 spool rear end.

As I plot building a 700HP big block... which will need the 727.
