C H E A P front sway bar idea for 73-76 A body cars....

Yea thats a good idea would you need to weld it to the lca also?
Years ago, some of the cheaper sway bar kits used a small piece of angle iron that just fit like Brian 6 pack wrote....On the face of the LCA with the shock bolt holding it in place. It was not welded on. It worked before, it can work again.

The more I look at that Chevy sway bar on there the more I like it !
Really nice job.

I have looked at other models trying to find alternatives but so far, I've come up empty. The GM bar is a fairly simple one.
The picture below shows the similarities of the GM bar, an ADDCO 1 1/8" bar and a stock 73-76 A body bar:

There is a NAPA store in Citrus Heights that has a small machine shop. Twice before, I took the bars to a trailer shop where they install hitches and build trailers. Other times, I drilled the holes myself.
The Machinist said he used a drill bit made by Vermont American, off the shelf from the NAPA store.

I am doing a similar project for my 78 Dodge C-Class MH. The rear bars are discontinued so I am using one out of a late model F450.
I have already adapted one for the front using a 99 B3500 bar.
