CA historic plates

These sound great for collector cars that get out once a week or so for shakedown cruises or shows. Requirement are 25 years old and of 'special interest'. Anyone investigate these? 2 bucks and registration seems permanent!

I have historical vehicle plates on one of my 33s, but it hasnt been on the road for a long, long, time. Been non op'ed, so i havent been paying attention.

Keep in mind that the 2$ is still just a portion of the overall registration, I'd have to look at one of my cars to see how that translates.

I like original black plates and they are still cheaper than having a new car.
