I am looking at Calvert's mono-leaf springs for my street driven 1970 Dart - I was concerned about trade-offs to using the mono-leaf/calTrac approach on a lightly driven street car? While not a road-racer, the Dart handles nicely and I would like to know how the mono-leafs may negatively impact handling or street manners.
Here is their reply....
The mono leafs have a higher spring rate over the stock springs. So if anything you will have a slightly stiffer ride. We have used these on road race cars in the past with good success. The have help in reducing some of the rear body roll helping to improve the cornering ability of the car. Any further questions please let me know.
If anyone has a view I would love to hear it.
Thanks,
Kory
