1971 Demon 340/ 4 speed /x heads / Stock thermoquad / 355 gear. Street car . Looking for power up to 5500. Every one keeps hyping the Comp XE268H Cam??????? . Any ideas on a upgrade manifold that will work with the carb set up..

I like the lunati vodoo cams. The 475/494 220/226 @.050 cam works nice in my 383 I was very surprised with the mid range. This would work good for your 5,500 rpm limit
An upgraded intake is. It really needed but if you want to keep the TQ, use the Weiand Action Plus intake. It is an excellent unit. It doesn't have a choke well for the carb though, IIRC.
The Edelbrock Performer isn't really better than the OE intake.
