I may need to pull the 408 and stroker and rebuild short block. I am currently using a crane energizer with eddy heads. 450hp. Anyone have a better cam reccomendation? Street use only but would like to increase the mid to high end. I dont want to stall or struggle in traffic. Manual disc brakes so vaccum is not an issue.

If you want it to really run good have a custom cam ground for it. Racer Brown is an expert in this field. Call him and tell him what you have and how you want to drive it and he will build you a cam that works awesome. His # is 410-866-7660 eastern time. I think he said he's there late on thurs. and fri. eve also.

Oh yeah his prices are real good too. Allot cheaper than Comp or Crane custom grinds. When I do my stroker this fall I'm having him grind one for me. He told me $250 shipped for mine including solid lifters which cost a little more.

A buddy of mine runs one of his cams in his 67 Cuda 416 stroker. It's a little radical for the street but not terrible. He has ran 11.20's with it so RB must know his stuff.

Good tip..I will check it out.

Racer Brown has been making awesome Mopar cams since the 60's. I'd give them a call if you're looking for something a little different from the rest of the crowd.

Just sent him an email.....As you can see by my ride,,,,,,I like something different from the rest of the crowd as long as it works.

Lunati's are (or maybe I should say were) good cams also. I have the 60404 in my 360 and it's great. Only problem is still finding them since Holley sold Lunati. I heard they are going back to their old ways of only grinding race only cams but I don't know that for fact. It's just something I read on a thread about them on a board. I haven't tried buying one for a Mopar since I bought mine about a year ago but recently I rebuilt a 454 for a buddy and we tried to get one for it and couldn't get the grind we wanted. No longer in stock it said on Summit and Jegs sites. They had about half of the grinds still available. Mostly either real mild or wild cams in stock. Not much in the middle.
