Cam/timing question

So i got a new timing gear set for my 440 build and i havnt gotn in to change it yet but i dont know weather my cam is a 1 bolt or 3 bolt. My gear set however is a 3 bolt design. Could i use this with a single bolt cam or would that just mess something up?? Thanks

What cam do you have? The two don't interchange so if you have 3 bolt, you need 3 bolt. If you have one bolt, you need one bolt.

Thats the thing, i dont know yet. Ill be taking the timing cover off this weekend to check and see. But if it is in fact a single bolt then iv already got some green backs put away to order in a 3 bolt purple cam! :burnout:
