Came across 71 Duster 340

I came across the car this morning. Car is up on blocks and has been sitting in the woods for the last 20-30 yrs owner said. Its GB5 blue, 340 wedge decals, mismatched wheels, no interior, no grill, no tail lights, drive train is stripped but 340 block and auto tranny still sit in car, under car looks solid but fenders hood quarters need replacing. He says he has the regi but for me to get the car out i need to cut down a handful of trees and the car sits over a bank and is blocked in by 5-10 junk cars so getting it out will be a chore in itself. Guy told me he has been cited for an illegal junk yard and has to junk everything in 30 days and is crushing everything. He is stuck at $1500. What can I realistically pay to try and save this car.

100 bucks and the work to get it out . it is only worth 100 for scrap.

The production of man jam was probably unnecessary in this instance.

Pay what you think it's worth (not $1500), and get the owner to clear a path so you can get it out.

He has to clean up in 30 days anyway....get him to do the work. Not your job.

The car has had so much pine debris laying on it, needles and bark that held the moisture in the fender tag cant be made out. I tried to read the vin but the windshield is so dirty i cant make it out either.

He has already had someone come in and start dragging the cars out, and he destroyed the ones that he drug out, a 70 duster 340, a 67 GTX, a 69 Super Bee and a 71 Challenger R/T. He literally ran them over with the bulldozer so he could pack more on the trailer so I was to late to save them unfortunately, and everything left is like Dart 4 doors, Monaco and Fury wagons, 71 Duster 340 is the only muscle car left in there and the only car solid enough to be saved as it was blocked up and could breath some what. The other cars are all laying in the dirt and the earth has claimed them.

All that's left is the dash frame, gauges are gone, rear is still in it. I will stop back and take some pics of it.

8 3/4 Rear 340 Block still in the car, that is some good money right there. If the car can be saved i would try my *** off to save it.
