69 dart - got car running after being parked for a number of years. Moved it now rear brakes are hanging up. Last time I messed with a car with drum brakes was 25+ years. (Wow) got my spoon out . But I can’t find the adjuster lever with the screw driver. Does anyone have pictures with rear drums off ? Any tips or advice ? I can’t remember if they both turn the same way to loosen the brake shoes ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks

Is there 2 adjuster slots. It's in there. Once you find it, you usually have to raise the arm up with a skinny screwdriver so you can back them off. It should be the rear adjusting hole.

One of your front or rear brake drums is probably loose enough to get off. Remove the drum to get perfect view.
Remember, the fronts are totally different from the rears.

If your drums are too tight to hand remove, DON'T hit them with a mallet or hammer. Drums bend really easy, believe it or not.
OEM Diagrams of your 10" 69 Dart Drums are available online, but not EZ to find. Keep searching til you find or ask somebody on here for OEM Diagrams.
Don't refer to the 9" Drum diagrams, although they are similar.

I just did mine, the adjusters are not where they used to be back in the day.

I’m kinda confused by what u have said . Is this where the adjuster would be on my stock brakes on the 8.75 rears. That way I know where to push with the flat tip screw driver .
Sorry, if I look in the slot on the backing plate the star wheel is right on one side of the window, they used to sit right in the middle of the window.
