Can anyone tell me the build date of my 1966 Plymouth Valiant Signet?

Does anyone have one of those books that lists build dates of Vehicles?
I was able to find out on the internet that my serial number on my 1966 Plymouth Valiant number: 538412 = 438411th Vehicle....

Can anyone let me know what the build date was?

It's the first 3 or 4 numbers under SO on the fender tag. So 417 would be a scheduled production date of April 17th. The next 5 numbers are the shipping order number.

But.... the SPD (scheduled production date) is the date they hoped to build the car when the order was first entered into the system.

There is no way to know the actual day it was built.

Write to Chrysler Historical Services and send proof of ownership. They have records of cars built up to 1967.
I received a cover letter with the VIN and Fender Tag decoded, the Shipped Date, and a copy of the build card.
The build card contains the Shipping Order No. (Scheduled Month, Scheduled Day) and the Shipped Date (Shipped Month, Shipped Day).
The SO# is on the Fender Tag and Broadcast sheet.
