I am currently swapping the manual 9" front drum brakes off my 69 Valiant with disks from a 78 Volare. I also bought the master cylinder, booster & prop. valve from the Volare but the booster wont bolt in without doing some cutting/drilling, is it worth it to swap them? Can I keep the M/C I have and just swap the prop. valve or do I need the newer M/C for some reason? Are their any boosters that will bolt on?

if i remember right, drum brake MS's have a residual valve in the seat area where the fitting screws into the MS. you can remove it from the port feeding the fronts with a small sheet metal screw. just as easy to use the disk brake MS if you already have it. run them as manual brakes and use the portioning valve from the volare

good luck

Get the mega-awesome adapter and use the MC from the Volare. Toss the booster.
