Can you mount A/C brackets to any intake manifold-

-
Some have the heater hose plugs directly under the bracket or compressor.

Not sure which, though.

It can be done. I'm running a 360 LA engine with W2 heads and still have my A/C. I had to fab up the brackets that go onto the intake manifold because the ports are moved around but it wasn't hard at all.

not all your aftermarket manifolds have the bosses for the AC brackets cast in

Edelbrock Performer 318/360 will work with stock AC brackets and C171 compressor. Also Edelbrock Torker 2 if you want a single plane. Likely stock Iron as well but not sure. I think all others require modified brackets.

This is a 360LA engine with W2 heads. I used the front brackets from the 318 engine that was in the car. Fit perfect. The rear brackets were not even close as you could guess. But all I had to make were new brackets for the rear of the compressor. I just make brackets to mount under the intake manifold bolts. As you can see in one of the pictures the intake had nubs but they were not tapped and did not line up. This is a dual plane Mopar intake. The heater hoses were not a problem.
