So just wanted to get the opinion of all on the best car cover for my 1973 plymouth duster. Any help would be most appreciated.

Yeah, there is no "best" cover for all circumstances. Outdoor in the weather, outdoor under a carport, indoor unheated, indoor heated — all those would take different cover solutions. Go to covercraft dot com or one of the other brands and read the recommendations.

My cars are outdoors under a carport canopy in California. I use a thin silver anti-sun anti-dust cover from Covercraft, that is lightweight and rolls on and off easily. But if you used this cover outdoors where it gets rained or snowed on, it would trap moisture and encourage rust.

Amazon for an outdoor. Some of them have warranty. It was like 90 dollars. I had a 400 dollar multipurpose one and the sun and weather ate that thing up after a couple of years.

Personally I would look for one that is suspended above the car, like by a hoop of PVC pipe

A $90 cover from Amazon isn't going to be custom-fitted to your car body. I strongly recommend a custom-fit cover. It won't flap so much in the wind (which beats up your paint), and will be lighter and more compact for storage.

Yes, for long-term outdoor storage that would be the best solution. But it may not be practical for a daily or frequent driver.

The biggest problem with car covers is once they get wet, you have to take them off the car, but then you have this huge, heavy, soggy thing to deal with. And even if it fits in your dryer, you can't put it back on until the car is bone dry. That might be weeks or months in Oregon, say.

The silver sunshade covers don't absorb water, but they trap condensation underneath, so it's the same problem minus the heavy, soggy part.

Really, if it's raining, it's better to just let the car sit uncovered. Then put the cover on when it's dry to keep the sun and dust off.

It fits well and they come with straps for the bottom of the cover to tie each side together from the bottom. I have two and I am satisfied with them. It may not fit like a cocktail dress, but it's good enough for the girls I go with.

Also they are made for the Mopar A body, they aren't some generic zip lock bag

1 1/4" galvanized steel tubing frame supported off the side of an 18' enclosed trailer. 10' x 12' tarp keeps the midday sun off, and the trailer side keeps the late afternoon sun off.

Setup so that it will drain rain off the right side of the overhead tarp.

Just yesterday added a 12' pipe crossways on center over the top of the tarp, helps hold the tarp down on the pipes in the wind.

Gives another dimension of strength to the tubular frame as a bonus.

Hey, @TheGreenBastard, we need to know if you are interested in an indoor or outdoor cover. There is a big difference. My car is never parked out in the weather, so I have a really nice indoor cover that protects against dust.

Like the 70 series foot print.

Was really hard to find aluminum wheels to fit the large Bolt Pattern (5") and large center register hubs on the '89 Truck.

They were Ford Truck aluminum wheels with the correct bolt pattern, but had to open up the center hole with an electric router to fit the large dodge truck hubs for 1989.

Was a challenge to even find those wheels once I knew what I needed, but then a set of 4 finally showed up here on Facebook.

Happy with the final results.

Those lighter aluminum wheels help with performance too, less rotating mass to spin up.
