Car Talk Click and Clack

-
My Dad listens to them all the time. When I was younger we ( my sister and I ) used to hate listening to it but as I got older ( high school ) and more interested in cars I thought they were a riot! Every now and again I get lucky and find them on the radio, I love 'em!!

I had worked with a guy that all he ever listened to was NPR(national public radio) which I was not a fan of. :angry7:

Car talk was the only show I would look forward to. :toothy10:

I like to listen to them. Unfortunately, where I live, I can only pick them up on the car radio. And even then it seems to depend on the weather which station I get them on or if I get them at all.

I have listened to them occasionally and thought they were fun and provided good advice for the callers.
I case you didn't know:
1) they were in the Movie Cars as the owners of rust-eze (or whatever it was called) the sponsor of the main character.
2) One of them even owns a Valiant convertible, I think it's a '63 and was one of the movie characters.

I'm not a big fan of what I call "Peoples Radio" but their show is worth listening to.

Roger that; I also call it "National Peoples Radio". With their political outlook, they might as well be a Socialist/Communist broadcaster.

love them: one them did have a 63 dart vert. He called it a "Datra". Dat is dart in Bostonese.

love these guys, did b4 I was into cars, as im getting into cars, I love them even more

They always give me a good laugh, I wish they where on 7 days a week, I always look forward to the show now.
listening now...

The closing credits are funny...Legal advice: Dewey, Cheatham & Howe, Statistician: Marge Innoverra, etc.

you guys catch last sundays car talk (3/6/11) someone with a 63? or 66? dart called in at the end asking what parts to take on a long road trip... the answer was "another dart", haha

I'm no fan of NPR either. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.
My wife even likes the show, and her eyes usually glaze over at the first hint of any kind of car discussion.

Anybody here listen to these guys on saturday mornings? Or have any members met them?
I got turned on to them about 7 years ago.
They are a riot.

I have never listened to this cool radio station :happy7:
Thank you for updating me :eek:ccasion::eek:ccasion:

As I set here and learn how to use my first lap top ](*,) but I hope I can get use to it, it's so touchy and I do not have tiny spell on it yet, so bear with me :home:

I recived 2 CDs of these guys for Christmas. A great gift!
I wonder how they can be allowed to sell stuff? They use our tax dollars to produce their show. And that's the only reason they are popular enough to sell anything.
I'm not getting political! At the risk of hijacking, I'm just wondering how they can do that.

Most of the donation to get those CD's goes to NPR and it states it when you receive them that your only allowed to claim a certain amount for tax deduction purposes. All of NPR's give aways work that way. I honestly don't know where the balance goes, if it's to Click and Clack , the company that produces the CD's etc... Considering the bailout of banks and auto companies with our tax dollars when they also sell products with no guarantee we get our money back you have to wonder if there's much difference.
